AFTERCARE

FAQ'S

- Apply cuticle oil & hand lotion regularly to hydrate.
- Wear gloves when cleaning/gardening to protect hands & nails.
- Thoroughly dry hands after washing.
- Don't use your fingernails as tools.
- Don't pick off any polish or gel, return to salon for removal, if needed.
- Apply a top coat 3-5 days after your manicure to prolong the polish (not needed for gel).
- We recommend returning for a manicure every 3-4 weeks.

MANICURE

- Apply cuticle oil & foot lotion regularly to hydrate and prevent cracked heels.
- Use a pumi stone or sugar scrub on areas prone to dry skin to prevent callus build up.
- Wear correct fitting shoes and avoid wearing heels for long periods of time, as this may cause bunions and other issues.
- Avoid picking any polish or gel, return to salon for removal, if needed.
- We recommend having a pedicure every 4 weeks to help maintain healthy feet and toes.

PEDICURE

1. How long does a gel manicure last?
    - A gel manicure usually lasts anywhere between 2-3 weeks.

2. What is the difference between gel and shellac?

    - There is no difference, it is just a brand of gel.

3. Does gel ruin your nails?
    - The application of gel doesn't damage your nails if applied  professionally, however if the gel is picked off, you may be removing layers of the nail.

4. What is the best way to remove gels?

    - It is best to contact the salon for gel removals.

5. How often should you have a paraffin wax treatment?
    - We recommend a paraffin wax treatment every 4-6 weeks during the colder seasons, when hands tend to be drier and more dehydrated.
