AFTERCARE
FAQ'S
- Avoid washing your hair for the first 48-72 hours after having your hair bleached or tinted, as the follicles need time to fully close and seal in your colour.
- We recommend using a colour safe, sulphate free shampoo and conditioner to help keep your colour vibrant for longer - sulphates can strip and dull your hair colour.
- If you have recently had your hair bleached (highlights), we recommend a nourishing conditioner or hair treatment mask to add moisture back into the hair.
- To keep hair looking healthy following any colouring service, we recommend using a hair mask once a week.
- Always use a heat defence after washing your hair, before styling, to protect the hair and reduce any heat damage.
1. How often should I have my highlights done?
- We recommend having your highlights done every 6 weeks.
2. How often should I have a root tint?
- Depending on your hair growth, we recommend a root tint every 4-6 weeks.
3. What is the difference between a root tint and root melt?
- A root tint is usually a permanent tint that is applied to the root to cover the regrowth. A root melt is usually a semi permanent colour that is smudged into the mid lengths to create a natural transitional colour.
4. Do I need a patch test?
- Yes, a patch test is required to make sure you will not have any reactions to the products used.
5. How long does glossing last?
- Glossing is only semi permanent, so depending on how often you wash your hair, usually 1-3 weeks.
